ABOUT ME
Hi, my name's Petal & I came into the care of the rescue after finding myself homeless & scared in a local pound. I hadn't had much human interactions up until this point. The pound reached out to the rescue, who were able to secure foster care placement for me.
Thanks to the hard work of my dedicated carer, I'm a totally different kitty to what I was when I first came into foster care. I've blossomed into a whole different kitty, one petal at a time. A once 'hissy', 'spitty'.... kittie, I now enjoy pats and can be picked up and cuddled. I’m slowly learning that people mean me no harm and that their attention can actually be pretty great! I am needing a patient adopter who is willing and able to continue working on my confidence. Change can be pretty scary for me and there is a whole lotta' change involved with an adoption. While I still have a long road ahead of me the rescue is confident that in the right home, I will continue to flourish.
So now the important stuff. What sort of home will I suit? While I'm worlds apart from my former self, I'll need a patient and understanding home that is mindful of my past and will give me plenty of time to adjust to all the change that come with an adoption. Slow is my speed. Cats? I'll do wonderfully in a home with an existing kittie or 2! Dogs? I'll adapt well to a low energy doggie, Children? Given I can initially be wary of strangers, I'd prefer a home without young kidlets (ages 8+).
ADOPTION PACKAGE
