The Western Australian microchip pet registry company HomeSafeID has gone into receivership. While registry details are still at this stage retainable, a recent website update suggests that registration data will be unavailable/unsearchable in the near future.
What does this mean for those registered with HomeSafeID?
In the event that your pet goes missing, the contact details on the microchip may not be made available.
Reuniting pets with owners will become a particularly difficult task for vets, pounds and other facilities.

What can I do if my pet is microchipped with HomeSafeID?
Your pet’s microchip will still stay active and a new microchip does not need to be implanted. We recommend registering your pet's microchip with one of the below companies to ensure contact information is up to day and accessible. Note* There may be a small fee to change to a new registry, but actioning this process, will ensure your pets microchip details are up to day in the event they go missing.
